Stacks of Colour!

Sculptor Russell Bamber’s latest piece is an imaginative and creative take on sculptural elements and architectural details found all around us.

Manufactured using Abet’s laminate and commissioned by Spaced Out Architecture, ‘Stack’ is a freestanding piece comprising elements rotating around a central axle. Each element represents an architectural detail such as a corbel or lectern and moves independently.

This offers up an infinite range of possibilities and designs with the colours and shapes dancing around each other in a never-ending pattern.

Russell commented, “I love using Abet’s materials for this kind of work. The excellent colour references and tonal variations are a colourist’s dream allowing for a massive range of colour mixing. The colours bounce and play off each other changing shades while the tactility of the different finishes from high gloss to Polaris ultra-matt added touch as another dimension”

Various colours were used from Abet’s HR Laq, Colours, and Polaris Collections to realise this piece. More information is available from uk.abetlaminati.com while Russell’s work can be seen on Instagram russellbamber.
